To start off, we do not endorse Pagan’s Motorcycle Club nor their behavior. The goal of this article is to help you understand what Pagan’s Motorcycle Club is and how people join the club.
The Pagans motorcycle club (Pagans MC) is a one-percenter outlaw motorcycle gang and an alleged organized crime syndicate formed by Lou Dobkins in 1959 in Prince George’s County, Maryland, United States. The club rapidly expanded and by 1965, the Pagans, originally clad in blue denim jackets and riding Triumphs, began to evolve along the lines of the stereotypical one-percenter motorcycle club.
The Pagans are categorized as an outlaw motorcycle gang by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. They are known to fight over territory with the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (HAMC) and other rival clubs, such as Fates Assembly MC, who have since merged with the HAMC.
They are active in thirteen states; Delaware, Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Michigan, West Virginia, and Virginia. Pagans are considered extremely territorial and are engaged in all forms of criminal activity.
The Pagans have been linked to the production and smuggling of drugs such as methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, heroin, and PCP. The Pagans also maintain legitimate businesses to launder money earned through drug trafficking. These include a motorcycle dealership in Florida and various strip clubs throughout the east coast. Since 2007, members of the club have been charged with murder and attempted murder against rivals of the club.
Pagans MC members typically wear black and red colors associating themselves with the club. They wear leather vests known as cuts or cutoffs, displaying one-percenter patches on the front and rank patches on the back. The number 81 is very significant to Pagans, being that 8 stands for “infinity” while 1 stand for “unity.”
What does a person have to do to join the Pagan’s motorcycle club?
Since this is an “outlaw” motorcycle club, people wanting to join need to be sponsored by an existing member. Their wives or girlfriends are not allowed so if they have one of these, they must get rid of them before joining. All members are required to attend church meetings on their motorcycles every Sunday morning at the clubhouse.
They can wear whatever they want to church, though it is preferred that they wear all black.
They must be able to drink beer and party with the members on a regular basis. They must be able to sell drugs for the club if needed but violence is strictly prohibited inside the clubhouse. The person wanting to join has the choice of what type of drug he wants to sell but not who they are selling it to.
The newcomer must have at least one sponsor in good standing with Pagans who vouches for his character before being voted on by everyone at church whether he gets in or not. If he doesn’t get in, then he’s out until another member leaves or gets thrown out, then he can have another try.
